Update: Project completed under budget and 8 months earlier than estimated.
Ahead of schedule, completed work secures eight state-supported living centers in Mexia, San Angelo, Denton, San Antonio, El Paso, Abilene, Lubbock and Lufkin
AUSTIN, Texas – October 19, 2010 – Knight Security Systems, a leading security systems integrator, announced today that it has completed Group I and II of its contract with the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) to install cameras and centralized video security management at its 12 state-supported living centers located across the state.
Group I of the project and was completed in July and included 130 buildings at four DADS facilities in Mexia, San Angelo, Denton and San Antonio. Group II was complete in early October and included 114 buildings at four facilities in El Paso, Abilene, Lubbock and Lufkin. Work on Group III began in mid August and includes 92 buildings at four facilities in Austin, Brenham, Richmond, and Harlingen (Rio Grande campus).

State’s Largest Security Project Will Install and Network 3,200 Video Cameras Across 12 Campuses for DADS
Austin, Texas – January 19, 2010 – Knight Security Systems, a leading security systems integrator, announced today that the company was awarded the largest single security contract in the state of Texas for 2009 by Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services (DADS) to ensure the security and safety of residents and staff at 12 state-supported living centers located across the state. The contract, valued at more than $12 million, was designed specifically for the department and will install a network of more than 3,000 high-definition video cameras in 335 buildings across the state.
